Flexibility in modes of communication

TechRadium provides IRIS administrators the flexibility to select the modes of communication which will receive alerts. The devices corresponding with alert levels specified above have been predetermined by TechRadium as the optimal means of contact; however IRIS administrators can alter them per the end user’s preferences. For instance, alerts can be sent to only phone 1, only e-mail, a combination of phone 2 & email, all devices, and so on. Various combinations exist when sending out alerts and the option to customize which device(s) will receive alerts is free of charge.

Examples:

  • A fire at school would trigger a RED alert sent to your cell phone and then work and home phone and finally e-mail and pager.
  • A hurricane/tornado would trigger an ORANGE alert sent to your work phone and then home phone and finally e-mail and pager.
  • A suspicious character driving around would trigger a YELLOW alert sent to your home phone and then e-mail and pager.
  • An ozone warning (for kids with asthma) would trigger a BLUE alert sent to your e-mail and then pager.
  • Parent/teacher conference scheduling and report card announce-ments would trigger a GREEN alert sent to your e-mail and then pager.
